MES Library

Welcome to the Macon Elementary Library, where we strive to build a love of reading, encourage curiosity, and help students become confident learners!

Throughout their time in the library, students will explore a wide variety of books, authors, genres, and topics while learning how to choose books that match their interests and reading needs. Library lessons also introduce students to important skills such as caring for books, navigating the library, finding reliable information, using technology responsibly, and beginning research.

The library is also a place for discovery and creativity. Through read-alouds, hands-on activities, technology, research, and other learning experiences, students are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and discover the joy that can come from a great book.

Most importantly, we want every student to feel welcome in the Macon Elementary Library and leave knowing that the library is a place to read, learn, explore, and grow.
